Director’s Message

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may prayers and peace be upon the noblest of messengers,

To begin with, I am pleased to welcome you all to the National Higher School of Cybersecurity.

The school was honored to host the official opening ceremony of the 2024–2025 academic year, which also marks its very first launch in training the first cohort of outstanding graduates of the 2024 Baccalaureate. The selection of our school to host this event is clear evidence of the importance the sector attaches to it within its institutional framework, and a strong affirmation of the special status granted to it by the highest authorities.

The National Higher School of Cybersecurity was established by a decision of His Excellency the President of the Republic, issued following the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on 12 September 2023. This decision mandated the creation of the National Higher School of Cybersecurity in coordination between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of National Defense, with the aim of unifying efforts, enhancing effectiveness in the field of cybersecurity, and supporting national security and defense in this vital domain.

The cyber threats facing the world today are clear evidence of the President’s sound and forward-looking vision. Moreover, the success of digital transformation requires—and indeed necessitates—extreme caution in handling electronic data. This objective has been addressed through the establishment of the National Higher School of Cybersecurity.

The school aims to train experts specialized in various fields of cybersecurity. Its graduates will benefit from in-depth knowledge in this area by focusing on security requirements, mastering the use of equipment, and efficiently managing information systems. Students will acquire the necessary skills to meet current and future challenges related to data and systems protection, as well as to ensure the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of information in a constantly evolving digital environment.

As the first institution of its kind, the school represents a distinguished platform offering many advantages and opportunities, including:

  • Responding to the growing international demand for cybersecurity
  • Addressing the shortage of qualified professionals in the field of cybersecurity
  • Providing motivating career-path opportunities
  • Offering specialized, high-level training in cybersecurity fields
  • Strengthening cooperation with the industrial sector
  • Contributing effectively to ensuring the security of digital transformation

The school also contributes to the promotion of research, development, and innovation in cybersecurity, with the aim of advancing knowledge and technologies related to this field. It will serve as a reference institution in cybersecurity, renowned for the quality of its training and research, as well as for its contribution to securing information systems at both the national and international levels. The school also seeks to establish strong partnerships with the industrial sector, government bodies, and other key stakeholders in the cybersecurity sector, in order to enhance cooperation, exchange knowledge, and apply best practices in this field.

Finally, I extend my sincere thanks to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on my own behalf and on behalf of the National Higher School of Cybersecurity, for his continued support and special attention to this project. Through him, I also thank His Excellency the President of the Republic for his initiative in establishing this institution of strategic and vital importance to the country as a whole. I would also like to highlight the pivotal role played by the Ministry of National Defense, through all its structures—particularly the Information Systems Security Agency—in bringing this project to fruition. This project is the result of a joint effort that we look forward to developing further, in line with the country’s aspirations to train highly capable national competencies and contribute to the protection of our digital sovereignty.

On the occasion of the launch of the school’s official website, I am pleased to renew my sincere appreciation and respect for all members of the academic community—faculty, students, and staff. I also express my pride in our partners and warmly welcome all visitors to this website.
